Learning outcomes of the course unit

The knowledge gained presents introduction to a deeper theoretical research, and will be made use of in urban planning practice and in urban development management

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of urban design and urban planning, at the extent corresponding to 1 to 3 semesters of university study. General overview of social and natural sciences.

Co-requisites

Student in his own proposal addresses the construction or territory, deepen their knowledge of theoretical categories, get an overview of trends, directions and works of contemporary architecture, become acquainted with the technical principles of design of buildings. All in the context of the history and development of the field and visual presentation

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The test focused on processed essay. Classification takes into account the students' knowledge and understanding of the problems

Aims

The aim of the subject's study is to gain the theoretical and methodical knowledge needed for formulating urban development concepts.
