Urbanism V - Territorial Planning

The subject closes the teaching of the disciplines of urban design in the bachelor degree study program. It is focused on land use planning and the issues of implementing urban development plans in an area. The subject consists of two parts. The first one covers land planning legislature and selected detailed issues of preparing, making and negotiating a land use plan. The students gain basic orientation in land use planning and urban development management. In the second part of the subject, consisting of separate lectures, the students get acquainted with selected topical issues and assignments of urban development practice, with their various aspects and potential approaches to their solution.

Student in his own proposal addresses the construction or territory, deepen their knowledge of theoretical categories, get an overview of trends, directions and works of contemporary architecture, become acquainted with the technical principles of design of buildings. All in the context of the history and development of the field and visual presentation.

The aim of the subject's study is to gain the theoretical and methodical knowledge needed for formulating urban development concepts.
