Course detail

General Biophysics

FEKT-AOBFAcad. year: 2012/2013

General biophysics covers the main study areas of general as well as medical biophysics, namely radiobiology, thermodynamics of living systems, biophysics of membranes, senses, the cardiovascular and respiratory system, laboratory and clinical optical methods, hazards and biophysical interactions of some instrumentation methods. Practical exercises and demonstrations to show the students how to measure non-electric parameters of living organisms.

Aims

To offer a review of the main issues of general and medical biophysics with focus on the areas and methods which are not the subject of study at FEEC, i.e. do not deal with imaging methods or biosignals, their origin and processing.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Requirements are specified by guarantor’s regulation updated for every academic year.
