The aim of the course is to deepen and widen studens knowledge of management and acquaint them with contemporary management methods incl. Japanese management system. The attention will be also paid to historical owerview of managemnt, time management, team work, measurement in management, managerial models, process and project aproaches.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students be made familiar with the modern approach to and application of management including development connections and possibilities of leading of employees, time organizing, team work, process and project management, managerial model aplication.

Prerequisites

Knowledge acquired in the course Corporate Management I”.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Conditions of awarding the course-unit credit:
1. Active participation in exercises during presentations followed by discussion over seminar work
2. Successful completion of a credit test.
3. Successful elaboration of semester work in preset deadline.
4. Successful completion of case studies

Total number of points is 100; the minimal number of points necessary for awarding the course-unit credit is 70.

Students have an opportunity to acquire points for:
- team semester project
- elaboration of tasks related to the studies
- elaboration of team work
- control test

Conditions for passing an exam:
The course-unit credit awarding is a necessary condition for passing an exam.
Knowledge of taught topics and their practical application.
Form of examination: written and oral. Oral examination is is applied if the result is inresolute. About application of oral examination decide teacher.

Aims

The main objective of the course is to provide students knowledges of modern approach to and application of management including development connections and possibilities of leadership, control, comparison and use of successful management in world, objectification and managerial procedures.The aim of the course is to develop students theoretic basis terms,content,structuralization and methody management and practical application. Another goal of the recommend approaches necessary tasks on a corporate level. The course is a follow-up to Corporate Management I

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Active participation in seminars regarding presented topics, participation in discussion, quality
Presentation of semester work on given topic, knowledge test.

In case of excused absence from seminars, the teacher can set an additional condition if appropriate, usually elaboration of partial written task.
