Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will have a clear idea of fundamental constructional principles of machines for machining and forming. They will learn today’s Czech and world machines for machining and forming, their characteristics and possibilities of their utilization.

Prerequisites

They are supposed to know machining and forming technologies. Knowledge of physical, statics, kinematics and dynamic rules. Knowledge of stress analysis. Basic knowledge of mechanization and automation. Application of machines to production lines.

Co-requisites

Not applicable.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The course-unit credit requirements: Attendance at seminars. The examination is written and oral. Students are examined from machine tools and from forming machines separately. Each part of the examination is evaluated with the score. Based on the total score, an ECTS grade is assigned to students.
