Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students learn of various use of aircraft technology. They learn how to organize the operation of the air technology so that the effects on the living environment are minimised.

Prerequisites

Navigation, Aircraft meteorology, Aeromechanics.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The course-unit credit requirements: the attendance at exercises (80% at the minimum), reports elaboration in a prescribed form, working out assignments. The examination is of written (three exercises and two questions) and oral forms (3 questions).

Aims

The goal of this course is to make students familiar with worldwide trends in the development of the air transport and their influence on the regional development.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Lectures and exercises are compulsory, and the attendance (80% at the minimum) is controlled and recorded. The absence (in justifiable cases) can be compensated after personal consultation with the lecturer and elaboration of individually assigned topics and exercises. Individual assignments must be finished and handed in the credit week at the latest.
