Document and Project Management

Project Lifecycle Management includes the processes required to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and ultimate disposition of project information. It provides the critical links among people, ideas, and ICT that are necessary for success of the PLM. PLM provides an overview of the following major processes:
- Engineering Data management, Prodat Data Management, Product Lifecycle Management
- Project Management
- Enterprise Content Management & Enterprise Resource Planning
- ICT Management, CAD Management, WEB Content Management

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will have a clear idea of project management and product data management, product lifecycle management in information systems. Students will be made familiar with software application suppoted product lifecycle managemant.

Prerequisites

Base knowledge of CAD systems and virtual prototyping.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Conditions for awarding the course-unit credit: participation in exercises, and submitting written reports of required content and form.
The exam has a written and an oral part and contains a defence of case study.

Aims

Learn students manage and manage project documentation. Students work up project: project documentation, sharing of data, searching of data, archiving of documentation and manage of changes in project documentation

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Knowledge of the appurtenances of component drawings and assembly units. Knowledge of available CAD system.
