Pre-Diploma Thesis Seminar

The course is intended as a support for working out a diploma thesis. It serves the students to concretize the topics of their diploma theses and elaborate background research for their diploma projects. They will have an overview of available data sources.

Students will be able to work with data sources, and will be made familiar with the methods of retrieving information from libraries and databases.

Students are expected to have certain knowledge acquired when working out the diploma project.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

There is no exam. Students will be awarded a course-unit credit on condition of having attended the seminars actively and reported the diploma theses.

Syllabus

1.-13.: One seminar will take place every week. Each student will report on his/her diploma thesis once during the semester. The presentation of the theses will be followed by the discussion by the audience.
