Course curriculum

Units and quantities, quantum theory of nuclear structure, nuclear shell model, drop model, magnetic moment of nucleus, binding energy, alpha decay, beta decay, gamma decay, time law of radioagtive decay, radioactive series, aktivity, interaction of radiation with matter, interaction of charged radiation, photons and neutrons, nuclear reactions, energy of nuclear reaction, interaction of nukleus with magnetic field, nuclear magnetic imaging, elastic and inelastic scattering, radiation capture, prompt gamma neutron activation analysis, nuclear fission and fusion, controlled chain fission reaction, theronuclear reaction, fission reaktor, reactor controlled with accellerator, fission and fusion weapons, chemicsl effects of nuclear reactions, biological effects of radiation.

Course objective
- to deepen background knowledge acquired in previous course;
- to create appropriate conditions for deeper understanding of the l essence of complex technical and natural phenomena, as well as modern technologies.
- The role of course is to contribute to mastering both the subjects that are interrelated with it and those that follow it.
