Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will obtain genereal view of conditions of existence of colloidal systems, of properties and preparation of the most important types of those systems and their significance for industrial practice.

Prerequisites

Basic physical chemistry, particularly thermodynamics, electrochemistry, and colloid chemistry.

Co-requisites

Not applicable.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The exam is realized by individual student's project and written part. Student works out and presents orally an essay on suitable topic from the contents of the course. Oral presentation includes general discussion on theoretical basis of presented topic. The written part consists of ten questions which should be answered in one phrase each within the time limit of 50 min.
