Prerequisites

Basic orientation in issues dealth with by contemporary aesthetics and sociology of culture. Analytical processing of assigned texts, ability to read academic text in foreign language.

3. Howard Becker - the theory of labelling; art worlds.
4. Pierre Bourdieu - field and habitus theory.

The course builds on comparisons and discussions. Students shuld learn to better understand intertextuality of art and its wider contexts.
