  1. Network Goals. Topology and network structure. Voice and data communication, digital revolution.
  2. The electrical interface and signal types. The medium characteristics.
  3. Baseband and modems with public carrier circuit. Broadband modems. Description of modems.
  4. Link layer protocols. Flow control. Transparency. Numbering of frame. The HDLC Protocol.
  5. Theory of transmission systems. SDH and PDH.
  6. Integrated services of digital networks - ISDN. ISDN protocols, accesses and interface standard.
  7. ISDN - DSS1 and CCS7 signaling protocols.
  8. SIGTRAN
  9. xDSL technology
  10. Frame switching, circuit switching
  11. Wireless and mobile networks. Analog system NMT and digital system GSM.
