English Upper Intermediate Higher 4 - BA - Summer

The course is a continuation of English Upper-Intermediate Lower 1, 2 based on the New English File Upper-Intermediate texbook. During the winter semester, we will go through units 4a, c, and the whole unit 5.

Continuous assessment: essays, tests, papers, etc plus the final general test at the B2 level (roughly corresponding to FCE).

Prerequisites

Obtaining credits from English Upper-Intermediate Lower 1, 2, and English Upper-Intermediate Higher 1 is recommended, but not mandatory. Students can enroll the course upon having consulted their level with the course teacher B. Lungová.

English Fille Upper-Intermediate units 6 and 7 and various texts taken from art magazines and academic books on art theory or history.

Aims

Continuous vocabulary building, improving of writing, speaking, listening, and reading skills, improving the academic reading skills, preparation for the final general test on the B2 level at the end of the semester.
