Original Abstract

The aim of this work was study chemical composition and structure of different humic acids (HAs). Object of our study were four samples HAs which were isolated from sandy soil (Arenosols), Chernozem (Haplic Luvisol), compost and South-Moravian lignite from the mine Mír in Mikulčice, Czech Republic. Isolation of HAs was performed according to the procedure recommended by the IHSS. All samples of HAs were characterized by elemental analysis, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy and steady-state fluorescence spectroscopy. Absorption coefficients (EET/EBz, E4/E6 and delta logK) of HAs were calculated from the absorbance values. Fluorescence indexes (Zsolnay and Milori) of HAs were calculated from the area of the emission spectra.
