Original Abstract

Evaluations of three-point bending fracture test of concrete specimens using double-K fracture model are presented in this paper. The main aim is the determination and comparison of mechanical/fracture parameter values of a composite both without and with polypropylene fibres FORTA FERRO of 54 mm length. It covers following parameters: the critical crack tip opening displacement, the fracture toughness and especially the stress intensity factor at level of crack propagation. The effectiveness of the use of polypropylene fibers of selected length and dosage in tested concrete is discussed.

Keywords

Double-K fracture model, three-point bending test, fibre concrete, polypropylene fibre.
