Original Abstract

This paper deals with the physical characterisation of experimental field-emission cathodes, which are based on a composite structure. The described structure is based on metal-oxide-epoxy interface, which enables to obtain brighter cathodes with smaller virtual source of electrons, and also a longer life-time and stability in compare with classical metal cathodes. These cathodes poses quality source of electrons for devices which uses focused electron beam, such electron microscopes or semiconductor inspection tools.

Czech abstract

Tento příspěvek se zabývá fyzikálním popisem experimentálních autoemisních katod založených na kompozitní struktuře. Popsaná struktura je založena na bázi rozhraní kovu-oxidu-epoxidu, což umožňuje dosáhnout kontrastnější zdroje elektronů s menším virtuálním zdrojem elektronů a zároveň prodloužit dobu život a zlepšit jejich stabilitu ve srovnání s klasickými kovovými katodami. Tyto katody představují kvalitní zdroj elektronů pro zařízení pracující s fokusovaným svazkem elektronů, jako jsou např. elektronové mikroskopy nebo přístroje pro inspekci polovodičových prvků.
