Poruchy dechového stereotypu často souvisejí s chabým držením těla a přetěžováním pohybového systému. Reedukací dechového stereotypu lze tyto poruchy odstranit nebo alespoň zmírnit tak, aby nenarušovaly pohybový komfort člověka. K reedukaci jsou používány techniky tzv. dechové gymnastiky včetně lokalizovaného dýchání. K pochopení principu lokalizovaného dýchání a zesílení účinku této techniky lze nyní využít metodu kineziotejping, která spočívá v aplikaci pružných přilnavých pásků přímo na kůži.

The breathing disorders are often related to a poor posture and muscle overload. Through the reeducation of the breathing stereotype it is possible to eliminate or minimalize problems with poor posture and muscle overload to improve the physical comfort of the individual. Breathing exercises including so called localized breathing are employed to achieve this goal. To enhance the effect of these techniques and to facilitate the understanding of the individual "how to breath", the method of kinesiotaping may be used. This method is based on the aplication of self-adhesive tapes directly on the skin.
