The paper deals with an application of the symbolic approximation to circuits with functional blocks whose models can include parasitic effects. Whereas the majority of known algorithms provide output in the form of two plain polynomials, the method presented retains the circuit structure during the approximation due to a new approximation method which goes beyond possibilities provided by classical algorithms.
