Original Abstract

The paper deals with two approaches which can be considered for a simulation of transient phenomena on lossy multiconductor transmission lines. The presented methods enable to take nonzero voltage and/or current distributions into account as well as frequency dependences of primary parameters if necessary. In principle either one- or two-dimensional Laplace transformations are used to transform the solution either from t domain to the s-domain or from (x,t)-domain to the (q,s)-domain completely. Finally after incorporating boundary conditions necessary algorithms for the numerical inversion of Laplace transforms are applied.
