This diploma thesis is about video compression based on the Three-Dimensional Discrete Cosine Transform 3D-DCT. This algorithm is use for video compression, like the specification Motion Picture Experts Group MPEG. In spite of width application of the standard MPEG, we probably could obtain better results in compression with method of the 3D-DCT.
