Original Abstract

Numerical models of thermal processes require knowledge of boundary conditions. The boundary conditions are specific for specific methods of cooling and can be obtained only experimentally. The paper shows the methods of measurements of heat transfer intensity using laboratory test benches. A numerical technique for an inverse heat conduction problem used for computation of the boundary conditions is mentioned. Examples presenting a study of cooling of rolls and flat surfaces are presented. Special cases of the cooling of rolls by two pressure system are shown.
