Original Abstract

Heavy metals can exert detrimental effects on human and animal health and on the environment. The metal bioaccumulation levels of mushrooms have been studied very intensively. Many mushroom species are known as cadmium, lead or mercury accumulators. Consequently, these different edible mushrooms were analyzed and the amounts of metal elements in fruit body of mushrooms, especially hazardous metals were determined. The result of this work is evaluation of metallic contamination of edible mushrooms from selected locality of Bohemia.
