The formulation of optimized design of longitudinal reinforcement in a concrete cross section and in a framed concrete structure of known cross sections and shape is presented. Constraint conditions are given as the conditions of structure reliability in accordance with the relevant codes for ultimate strength and applicability of the sections specified by a designer. The stochastic FEM and the Sampling Based Reliability Assessmentmethod is used for solution of optimal design problem with random variables. presented.
