Original Abstract

The reliability analysis of steel strut designed according to standards Eurocode 3 and EN 1990 is performed in the article. The partial safety factors of dead load, long term variable load, and material are verified by means of reliability analysis methods. The analysis of the misalignments of the probabilty of limit states of load carrying capacity in dependence to the ratio of dead and long term variable load is performed. The random shape and size of the initial axis curvature of the strut is modelled utilizing the so-called Gaussian random field. The analysis of the misalignmet of failure probability is performed for a number of variants of correlation lengths of the random field. The random variability of other material and geometric characteristic of the steel rolled profile IPE220 are considered according to results of experimental research. The failure probability as evaluated utilizing the Monte Carlo method. The probabilistic reliability analysis is supplemented with the fuzzy analysis of the influence of model uncertainties on failure probability. The fuzzy analysis of failure probability was performed according to the general extension principle. The processes of fuzzification of coefficients of model uncertainties and of defuzzification of fuzzy number of the output failure probability are described in the presented article.
