Original Abstract

Collector is an underground linear structure usually built from concrete. Let the reinforcement be of various material types, metal (common and stainless steel) and non-metallic fibre reinforced polymer (GFRP - glass fibre reinforced polymer). Load bearing capacity is under consideration at various load states stressing a structure in transverse direction. The objective function takes into account both acquisition costs of typical 1m' of the gross structure and ecological impacts and serviceability state. The parametric study is performed regarding various reinforcing materials and values of summation-weight coefficients in the objective function. Numerical results are evaluated and conclusions are drawn.
