Original Abstract

Two state-space canonic representations of an IIR digital filter that realizes the Goertzel algorithm are derived. Via digital filtering, the spectral analysis of selected partial components of the spectrum is realized. The two canonic structures are represented by difference equations, a signal-flow graph and matrix notation.
