Original Abstract

Synthetic soluble anhydrite binders, fluidized with melamin - sulfonate - formaldehyde condensates (MSFC), were investigated by rheological, calorimetric, mechanical and adsorption methods. The degree o sulfonation of the MSFC was found to be a key parametr in dictating its performance as a dispesant. A higher degree o sulfonation reduces the shear yield of the binder at early ages (20 min afer mixing) bu also reduces the subsequent rate of stregth development.
