Relation of structure and mechanical properties of ADI

Austempered ductile iron with various matrix structures was obtained by isothermal transformation in temperature range between 380 and 500 °C. The results of tensile tests and of X-ray analysis of the retained austenite amount were campared with the microstructure observed in tight microscope and replicas studied by transmission electron microscope.
