Original Abstract
The paper deals with the voltage events occurred in the low voltage supply systems and with problems about correct recording and analyzing of them. The paper presents two methods of voltage magnitude measurement and voltage events detection whereas both methods are based on differ-ent measuring algorithm. While the first method is currently used in voltage events recorders and power quality analyz-ers and is based on the measurement of RMS voltage val-ues; the second method tracks the envelope of input signal amplitude in real-time. Both algorithms were simulated in Matlab/Simulink environment and were tested on many types of pre-set voltage events. The results are compared with the parameters of the pre-set voltage event.
