Original Abstract

The work deals with calculation of general stress concentrators such as multi-material wedge composed of anisotropic materials, corners, interface crossings, crack terminated on the interface of two different anisotropic materials etc. For solution a two-state integral method, especially M-integral and psi-integral, is used. Assumption for this analysis is knowledge of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of appropriate singular solution where we employ an implicit numerical procedure. We use a path independence of two-state integral and finite element analysis, which provides relatively accurate values on remote integration paths. This method is capable of extracting the near-tip information directly from the far-field deformation. The main objective of this work is to obtain general stress intensity factor of appropriate singularity stated above.
