Calculations of several cases for rectangularmicrostrip patch antennas using more accurate caviry model have been compared with the conventional cavity calculations, expressions generated by curve fitting to full wave solutions and moment method calculations for substrates with the dielectric constant 10.8 and 6.45. Calculated as well as experimental values have been studied for different thicknesses and patch sizes.
