Original Abstract

Water treatment and pollutant degradation is a hot research topic these days and photocatalytic reactions provide promising results for this application domain. The most common catalyst for these applications is titanium dioxide (TiO2) with a bandgap around 3,2 eV. As one of the alternatives, tungsten trioxide (WO3) can be used. Electrophotocatalysis provides enhanced speed of degradation processess.
