Original Abstract

This work deals with the possibility of authentication of PIWI varieties wines on the basis of volatile profile analysis. The determination of volatiles was performed by HS-SPME-GC-MS. The repeatability and linear range of selected compounds were determined as part of the validation of the method. The RSDs and reliability coefficients of the linear regression ranged from 1.4-8.5% and 0.980-1.000, respectively. Data obtained from real wine samples were processed by descriptive and multivariate statistical methods, based on which the values of 13 variables were used to successfully discriminate between varieties.
