Original Abstract

The main aim of this study was to describe the fate of microplastics in the soil and to assess their short- and medium-term effect on soil properties. A series of experiments were performed to elucidate the fate of different concentrations of PET microplastics in the different types of agricultural soil. Changes in soil organic matter thermal properties, soil respiration, amount of water and soil aggregation depending on the incubation time were monitored.
