Original Abstract

Experimental study was focused on the fatigue crack propagation of the Ayres Loadmaster LM200 wing spar. During a high-cycle fatigue test, the monotonic four point cyclic bending was applied.Fatigue crack growth in the spar web was visually monitored. The limited macroscopic data set was completed by the fractographic reconstitution of fatigue crack history based on the striation spacing.
