Original Abstract

With increasing demandings on facilities capacity a solid mathematical foundation is needed for quantitative assessment of pedestrian comfort. Presented work fills this gap in literature and proposes a mathematical definition of comfort based on kernel density estimation. Proposed method of comfort assessment is validated with experimental data.
