Original Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to give information on the outgoing activities of the Institute of Transport Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology in the area of practical use of the Stirling engine thermodymic cycle (with heat re-generation)for the combined production of electricity and heat. The paper compares two versions of thermally and mechanically loaded Stirling engine displacer piston (gama-modification, 500W output power), focusing on functional requirements, wear and reliability.
