Original Abstract

The paper proposes Out Of Band (OOB) technology to transmit service data for Free Space Optics (FSO) terminals. The requirements for this communication channel, together with the intended data for transmission, are presented. There is a comparison of LoRa, WiFi 6, Bluetooth LE 5.0 and NB-IoT technologies. After considering all the parameters, LoRa turned out to be the most suitable for the OOB channel. Next, a prototype with LoRa technology is described and is further subjected to a range test, spectral test and current consumption measurement.
