Original Abstract

The rotor under study is intended for an induction machine with output power 3 kW and speed 180 000 rpm. In this article, properties of the rotor are considered from both mechanical and electromagnetic point of view. This paper shows the influence of rotor slit dimensions on machine performance and mechanical durability of the solid rotor of the induction machine. The point is to find the best possible tradeoff between mechanical and electromagnetic properties of the machine.
