Original Abstract

This paper presents the discovering of devices within range in Bluetooth networks described by the Bluetooth specification 1.1. This searching of other devices is performed using the inquiry communication procedure. In this procedure, the special hopping sequence derived from LAP of inquiry access code is used. The computation of this sequence was implemented in MATLAB for the purposes of procedure monitoring. The implementation accuracy was verified making the measurements in the real Bluetooth networks.
