Original Abstract

This paper investigates the leakages in the bus pneumatic circuit using acoustic emission detection technique. The study focuses on the relationship between many parameters of acoustic emission signal and leakage. In this study, artificial leakages were created in the pneumatic circuit of the bus door each one has a different size of the orifice. The relationship between acoustic emission and pressure values was studied. The signals were recorded and analysed into many parameters. Location of the leakage in the circuit was determined using frequency spectrum, energy and RMS.
