Original Abstract

A new method for the assessment of audio signal noise reduction is presented in this paper. This method uses psychoacoustic model, the perception of human hearing is taken into account. The quantities in frequency domain are presented – the Noise-to-Mask Ratio Enhancement describes the success rate of noise reduction and the Relative Frequency of Mask Absence defines the average number of audible spectral components of noise.
