Original Abstract

In the paper, we review the design of a double-layered circu-larly polarized antenna array consisting of orthogonal linear antenna elements fed by substrate-integrated network. The reviewed array has been simulated in CST Microwave Studio, fabricated and measured. Based on the critical evaluation of obtained results, practical recommendations for the imple-mentation of the numerical model and fabrication of the prototype of the antenna array have been compiled. Such a practical guide to the design of SIW-based millimeter-wave antenna arrays has not been published in the open literature yet.
