Original Abstract

The interest of scientific community in memristors, memcapacitors, meminductors, and general higher-order elements, which show great promise of new applications in the area of bio-inspired circuits and non-traditional analog processing, brought the need to perform real circuit experiments and not just simulations. The lack of useful real devices for research and education increased the interest in the so-called emulators. We proposed a general emulator with digital signal processing in the loop. Although the emulator can be programmed to implement an arbitrary dynamical system, there are some fundamental stability problems. This contribution proposes a new setup for overcoming them and a simple digital compensation of the effects of reconstruction filter and zero-order hold DA converter.
