Original Abstract

This article describes a part of our continuing work that deals with lithiation or pre-lithiation process hereinafter just lithiation process. The lithiation process was employed as a treatment method used to lithiate natural graphite material. Using this lithiated natural graphite as anode (negative) active electrode material in lithium-ion cell is the main aim of this work. The characteristic properties as irreversible capacity (related with growth of SEI layer on solid-liquid interface during first formatting cycle), rate-capability performance and cycle stability are examined and described in this article. The electrochemical properties and behaviour of lithiated natural graphite are compared with initial graphite without any treatment.
