Original Abstract

In this paper we focused on authentication on low-cost devices. We proposed a new mutual authentication protocol suitable for implementation on low-cost devices. The proposed protocol is simple and uses only appropriate low-cost Hash functions and Physical unclonable functions (PUFs). The proposed protocol enables secure transmission of information from the one user to the another user. For this purpose cryptographic primitives are only used as Hash functions, the exclusive OR operation (XOR) and PUFs. The sender XORed secret information with secret data, which can be generated only by the corresponding user who the secret information are intended for. Security of the proposed mutual authentication protocol with secure transmission of information is described.
