Original Abstract

The contribution presents identification of the parameters of the nonlocal model of concrete fracture. The identification is based on the experimental series of concrete beams loaded in three-point-bending performed by the team of prof. Bažant at the Northwestern University. Three parameters are being identified, namely tensile strength, strain governing the initial slope of the softening curve and the radius defining the internal material length. The study shows that it is possible to get multiple different sets of parameters that provide the same response of the numerical model. Thus, the parameters provided by identification are not necessarily unique.
