Original Abstract

Our work is focused to eliminate problems of irreversible charging in the first cycle when a new lithium-ion battery is set to work. The research work was based on an artificial lithiation of the natural graphite that acts as negative (anode) material in lithium-ion system. Pre-lithiation treatment process was used to saturation of natural graphite by lithium atoms. With help of this process we would like to decrease irreversible capacity losses (caused by SEI – Solid Electrolyte Interface formation during first two cycles) and improving rate capability performance.
