Original Abstract

The paper is focused on the design of a compact antenna for hand-held devices. The antenna excels in tuning feature enabling the operation at most important LTE bands. The design uses tunable capacitors coupled to the antenna elements, a tunable lumped resonator embedded into ground plane and switchable inductor at antenna input to achieve a continuous tuning operation within 700 – 960 MHz and 1700 – 2400 MHz. The influence of the human tissue is inluded.
