Original Abstract

Evolutionary algorithms are well established in the field of optimization problems; their usage as design methods comes to the foreground thanks to the inovation introduced into the design process. Coevolutionary algorithms are natural extension to the evolutionary algorithms in which the fitness of an individual depends on its interactions with other individuals. Applications of these algorithms include electronic circuit design, image filter design, machine learning, symbolic regression and many others. This paper deals with the design of a hardware platform for accelerating coevolutionary design.
